If Only

I have not spoken about this for a long time. That is Personas. I think I have to for sometime People misunderstand what we mean. it can be made into something really complex or it can be made into something simple. If only we did not have to through this because it really takes a lot of energy to keep the Personas going. Everyone has different Persona and it really comes down to how they interact with those around them This is specifically for those that are still The Closet and not those that are Out.

Personas are Constructs or ways of interacting with the People around you. For instance if your speaking to a Butch Male you cant be yourself otherwise you stand the chance of being Outed amongst other things. So when interacting with this Person you develop a way of masking yourself by creating a persona to interact with the Jock. This way you are not in danger of being Outed. Plus you also have to get into the Mindset of the Person your speaking to. So Jocks like speaking about sports and girls, cars etc. So even you may hate all of these you put on an act to keep this Person going. Thinking that they are speaking to a fellow Jock. Mean while they are speaking to a T Girl. Who would really be speaking about anything but what your are that moment. You might not never want to speak to a Jock when your Out. Then you Dont have to pretend to something your not. Hence Personas.

I just hope this all makes sense. Some of us have more than One Persona. This allows the T Girl to interact with just about anyone. You might say this is the same as normal people. Yet that might be true but here you are trying to keep the person at arms length so you not in Danger of being Outed. Where as normal People do the same thing to keep people from discovering who they are and not of being Outed. The danger is not the same since we are a different Gender trying not to be discovered. Which would have serious repercussions like being rejected and disowned.
